Boxcar Grill

1st time visit. Cute little spot. Resturaunt is an actual boxcar and there is another boxcar brewer right next too it as well. We got the double smash burger with brocolli salad and an order of wings tossed in their Buffalo sauce with a side of ranch. We stopped in during Jeef Fest so they ran out of somethings like blue cheese and fries but the brocolli salad was really good, I would order it again. The burger was delicious and the wings were really good. I liked the wings a lot. The sauce seemed inhouse and it was really good. Prices seemed reasonable.

My wife and I have owned a home in Ellijay since March, and we’ve tried quite a few local restaurants — most have been a bit disappointing. But these wings completely changed that! I’m a huge wing connoisseur, and these are some of the best I’ve ever had. They’re fresh (not frozen), super crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The garlic parmesan wings, in particular, are incredible — honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend giving them a try! The only thing I’d love to see is a few spicier options on the menu. I’m a big fan of heat, and an atomic-style sauce would take these wings over the top. Thank you for the amazing food and great conversation — my family and I will definitely be back!

This was an amazing fun stop. First time to Talking Rock, and this restaurant made out of railway cars, is worth the stop. We tried the patty melt and sidewinder fries. Both were awesome. Also the broccoli salad was tasty. One of our group got the Train Wreck burger, wow! The area it sits in is filled with quaint shops and a brewery. You won't regret stopping.

There are places that you randomly stop in that you don't realize that you were missing in life. We thoroughly enjoyed stopping at the brewery and grill. The owners were just fantastic to talk with. The beverages were outstanding and the food was delicious. We tried the smash burger and Cuban and WOW they were fantastic. Possibly the best Cuban in Georgia - no joke... If you have not tried these two locations, and you are within 30 miles, you are simply missing a real deal hidden gem. Give them a try ASAP. You absolutely won't regret it! So good ..

Food was fantastic, this is one of the best burgers I’ve had and the fries were delicious as well. I love the atmosphere and there’s a brewery next door as well can’t get much better than that. I definitely recommend and want to keep coming back to try everything on the menu

This place is amazing! There were six of us in our group and we all really enjoyed our food. The burgers are great. I had a patty melt and it was huge! Everyone was so friendly and thoughtful. I wish I lived locally, I'd make this a weekly outing.

Fun spot, great food, very messy (in a good way) Stopped by Boxcar Grill in Talking Rock, GA shortly after they opened, so parking was easy and there were no crowds at the time. It’s a neat little place built inside a train boxcar — narrow but clean, organized, and well laid out. There’s plenty of outdoor seating available, not just at Boxcar Grill itself but also next door where you can sit and enjoy your food. Inside seating is comfortable, and everything was nice and clean. I ordered the Train Wreck Smash Burger, and fair warning: it is VERY messy. Chili, fried egg, bacon — super flavorful and tasty, but you’ll want extra napkins. Totally worth it if you don’t mind getting a little dirty. I also had the maple bourbon wings, which were sticky, sweet, and delicious. Messy as expected, but cooked well and full of flavor. The curled potato wedge fries were excellent — crispy, seasoned well, and a great side. Had it all with a Sprite Zero, food came out fresh and hot, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, this is a great stop whether you’re solo, with friends, or with family. Fun concept, good food, and a relaxed small-town vibe. I’d definitely come back.

We loved this place! Super nice people, great smash burgers and great atmosphere. The brewery next door is awesome too. Built in a refurbished box car. Loved it! Highly recommend!!
